LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Remember last week when I commented that we had the biggest show yet here at the Barn Door the previous week! Well.....that is no longer the case. Last Monday night 17 teams packed the place to the rafters. 87 out of the possible 91 available seats were filled including 10 from the "Suzuki Strings Institute". They were visiting string musicians teaching a course at Millersville University and they came out to 2 of my shows last week. Although they did not do as well as they thought they might, I think they had alot of fun. Their team names were the "G-Strings", "Hi Martha" and the "Suzuki Table". Thanks for an enjoyable couple of nights. As for the winners and losers....."Lionel Richie Has Left Us" used the help of their own "Salads" mini-category to beat "Out of the Vortex" and "Max Fine and the Disorderly Conducts". "Wacky Corner", once again, finished in the "you get nothing but my thanks" 4th place position with "Just the Girls" and "Laffy Taffy" 1 point further back. Oh, I forgot to mention that the 'Suzuki teams almost swept the major Wacky Raffle prizes as they took home the box of Swedish Fish and the barrel of Utz Cheese Curls. "O'Know" prevented the sweep by taking home the 3 pound box of Oreo cookies.

LAST WEEK'S TOP TEAMS

1ST PLACE - 72 POINTS - LIONEL RICHIE HAS LEFT US

2nd Place - 64 Points - Out of the Vortex

3rd Place - 56 Points - Max Fine and the Disorderly Conducts

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Last week "Out of the Vortex", after getting beaten up in recent weeks, took advantage of "Cowbell" and "D-Generation X" being on vacation and decided to get out the ole whoopin' stick and hammer everybody who dared to walk through the doors. "Holy SWAG" tried but couldn't catch 'Vortex and the 3rd place "Jomama" team was "shocked and awed" through the first 2 rounds. Bob and Gay only had 9 out of a possible 30 points after 2 rounds but made a miraculous recovery in the 3rd round to sneak into 3rd place ahead of the "Weaners". Meanwhile, "Bruzilla's Gone Mad" took a good thumping and finished 5th ahead of "MB Express" and the "Lone Irishman". The 'Bruzilla team blamed their lack of scoring on 'Nette! They may have a point.

LAST WEEK'S TOP TEAMS

1ST PLACE - 68 POINTS - OUT OF THE VORTEX

2nd Place - 57 Points - Holy SWAG

3rd Place - 49 Points - Jomama

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Well, after a 3rd place and 2 straight 1st place finishes without Doc and Judy, "R & R" witnessed their return from Canada for the show before they continued on their planet-wide jaunt. Guess what? I was correct last week when I suspected that Doc and Judy might be a liability. John, Claire, Sharon and Phyllis saw their 3 weeks of magic disappear into a 5th place finish. To add insult to injury, their trivia nemesis, "Ladies Night Out", took top honors last week in a very close competition. They beat the "Cheeseballs"(61 points), the "Bar Ks"(60 points) and "Wrecked 'Um"(58 points) by a total of 4 points. "R & R" did manage to finish in a 5th place tie with "Crimson Tied" while the once feared "Out of the Vortex" took it on the chin again and finished well of the pace. Welcome back to the vacationing "Off Duty" people and good luck this week. Reminder, this is the ON week for that group of Millersville golfing misfits who take up seats but never want to stay to play.

LAST WEEK'S TOP TEAMS

1ST PLACE - 62 POINTS - LADIES NIGHT OUT

2nd Place - 61 Points - Cheeseballs

3rd Place - 60 Points - Bar Ks
