Last Week's Blurbage

Well, here we are. The final night of our 3rd annual Spring Trivia Challenge is upon us and "Out of the Vortex looks like they have sewn up 1st place. They have won the last 5 weekly contests and are 47 points ahead of the 2nd place team of "Lionel Richie Has Left Us." The'Richie folks are another 26 points in front of "Is That Some Kinda Thing in Your pants Or.....". This is where the true fun begins. The 'Some-Kinda crew is holding onto a very narrow 3 point margin over the "Wacky Corner" which is yet another slim 4 points ahead of the plummeting "Puppet Lint". Just last week the 'Lint people were in 3rd place and now they are in 5th place and the "J-Men" are breathing down their necks for that 5th place spot. And yes it does look like "KKC" will once again languish in their beloved 10th place spot. WooHoo! Way to go Cori.Remember, no shopping for snacks or gas at the Millersville Mart. As much as I hate to say this, go to Turkey Hill.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Yes, just like the Barn Door we have 1 week to go here at Crossgates in our Spring 2008 Trivia Challenge. This is our 7th annual Spring tournament and it looks like newcomers the "Stupid MOFOs" are going to upset the heavily favored "Out of the Vortex" for the title. The entire 'MOFO team was back in force last week as they won by a single point over the Jackie inspired "Off Duty" with "Out of the Vortex" finishing 3rd. As for the tournament standings, unless the 'MOFOs undergo a New York Mets like collapse (take that Bruiser), they will win it all as they are currently enjoying a 26 point lead going into the final week. The "Stupid MOFOs" are the ONLY team to finish in one of the top 6 spots EVERY WEEK of the tournament. However, please take note that with Joyce and Tracy supposedly leading the 'MOFOs any collapse is possible. My brother, Leadfoot's James Thomas, www.leadfootrockspa.com told me to say that and Tracy's brother Matt shook his head in agreement. Much farther back the battle rages on for 3rd place as "R & R" is holding onto a narrow advantage over "Just the 18th" which had to do without the lovely Karen last week. Hey Karen, that's 2 weeks in a row and Joyce is taking notes, better planning next time. The '18th, lead by screech owl Dawn has to watch out for "Off Duty". The "Off Duty" gang is only 2 points behind them in 5th place overall. The "Bar Ks" are 18 points farther back in 6th and have a slim shot at moving up. I think it is the result of the "Bar Ks" Karen's Samson like haircut. Most of her power is now gone, but she still looks cute.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, here we are. Two weeks to go in our 9-week 2008 Spring Trivia Challenge and it looks like "Out of the Vortex" is going to capture the top prize without much of a challenge. "The 'Vortex captured their 4th straight weekly top prize last week here at the Barn Door and their closest rival, "Lionel Richie Has Left Us" has done little to hunt them down. "Puppet Lint"sits in 3rd place and has to hold off "Is That Some-Kinda-Thing in Your Pants or...." with the very fickle "Wacky Corner " lurking in the shadows. The "J-Men" round out the top 6 and they to are within striking distance of "Puppet Lint" for that 3rd place money position. Further back in the pack, "Bob's Angels" have moved ahead of "Don't Know Jack" for 8th place bragging rights and "KKC" seems headed, once again, for their personal favorite 10th place for the 6th straight time.. Remember, no shopping for snacks or gas at the Millersville Mart. As much as I hate to say this, go to Turkey Hill.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Yes, just like the Barn Door we have 2 weeks to go here at Crossgates in our Spring 2008 Trivia Challenge. This is our 7th annual Spring tournament and it looks like newcomers the "Stupid MOFOs" are going to upset the heavily favored "Out of the Vortex" for the title. The 'MOFO women collectively said that they didn't miss their spouses last week (they were in Myrtle Beach). Tracy's brother Matt was in his glory as he had the women all to himself. Joyce showed off her new teeth and then the vampiress bit Lisa on the neck. She wanted to bite "Just the 18th's" lovely Karen but she was a no-show for some reason. The gang of wackos from "Just the 18th" with screech owl Dawn in command are trying to hold off "R & R" for 3rd place while the "Bar Ks" are trying desperately to hold off "Off Duty" for 5th. The 7th place team, the "Better Half" is plummeting faster than a rock in a pond as they now have to worry about "Crimson Tide" sneaking up on them. If certain teammates from the "Better Half" would perform better they might be able to do it. And it looks like "Thorns-n-Roses" is actually going to finish 9th instead of 10th. This is a HUGE improvement for that geriatric bunch.

Last Week's Blurbage

Welcome to the show that is now dedicated to the Millersville Boro Police Parking Ticket Nazis. Last week the Police, at the request of the pinheads from the Uni-Mart mext door, ticketed 14 vehicles to the tune of $25 a piece for parking in spaces that nobody knew were exclusively the Uni-Marts. If they keep this up the Boro won't need tax relief. I have talked to the Police Chief and he agrees that although the officer was correct, it could have been handled better than that. What a bunch of crap, especially when you consider the fact that the only sign restricitng parking makes NO mention of who the lot belongs to. I encourage all of you to never park over there again and to NEVER EVER cater to that establishment again. I am making it my mission to put them out of business. As much as I hate to say this, get your snacks and gas at Turkey Hill, which is also grossly overpriced. Per the chief, you ARE permitted to park in the borough parking lot across Colonial Avenue at the top of the Barn Door parking lot. Just don't park in spaces that say police vehicles only. That would be really stupid and you should get ticketed, towed and flogged. If you are not sure if you are parked in a valid area please come see me before the show. As for last weeks show, "Out of the Vortex" won their 3rd in a row and have taken control of the tournament away from "Lionel Richie has Left Us". With 3 weeks to go the geriatric bunch from the 'Vortex have a 34 point lead over 2nd place. 20 points farther back is "Puppet Lint" with "Is That Some-Kinda-Thing In Your Pants or..." with the "Wacky Corner breathing down their necks in 5th place. In 6th place is the self-destructing "J-Men". I have it on good authority that Jim Miller is not holding up his end of the bargain. Also, "KC" is in danger of losing their grip on the 10th place spot they love so much. Cori keeps saying that Kim has been such a disappointment and mother-hen Karen just shakes her head and giggles in frustration. Kinda like the AFLAC duck.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Wow, what a fabulous night we had last week here at Crossagtes. We had the deck open for the first time and it was a nice night. Well, except for a certain member of the "Better half" who thinks the deck should only be open if the temperature is in the triple digits or something like that. "Out of the Vortex" broke tournament leader "Stupid MOFOs" 3 week winning streak but the 'MOFOs still lead the 'Vortex by a whopping 29 points with just 3 weeks to go in our Spring 2008 tournament. 84 points back and now battling for 3rd place, "R & R" has moved into a tie with "Just the 18th" Speaking of the '18th, the lovely Karen (Joyce hates that, so does Tracy and Lisa) was disappointed that the ladies from the 'MOFOs were not present last week. The women from both teams just hate each other as they both are battling for my attention. Kinda cool, huh! I see a jello wrestling event in the future. Speaking of the women of the 'MOFOs, last week they were absent and this week the men from that team will not be here as they travel to Myrtle Beach. Rick said last week that he is certain that the women of his team will not do as well as they did. Bird, Todd and both Matts shook their heads in agreement. Not too far behind the 4th place teams is "Off Duty" in 5th and they are trying to hold off the "Bar Ks" who think they should have one more point than they do. However, the trivia gods are not being very cooperative with them. A scoring error last week benefits both the "Stupid MOFOs" and "Manishewitz" who correctly answered the question about the last team to make the NCAA Men's Final 4. I said the answer was UCLA but the correct answer is Michigan State and they both have been credited with the 5 points for that answer. This weeks weather should once again allow us to be on the deck so dress accordingly.

Sad News To Report

Our good friend Bob Herr's wife Linda lost her battle with cancer on Friday. Bob and Linda are strong original supporters of my show at the Barn Door. They were founding members of the "Wacky Corner" and 2 of the nicest people you could ever know. Linda will be missed and Bob.....I am sure I speak for everyone when I say that our thoughts are with you.

Last Week's Blurbage

Five weeks in a row, 5 full houses in a row! It doesn't get much better than that. With hump week behind us it is now time to concentrate on the race to the finish. With 4 weeks to go "Out of the Vortex", on the strength of 2 straight victories, has moved out to a 15 point lead over 2nd place "Lionel Richie Has Left Us". "Is That Some-Kinda-Thing In Your Pants or are you......." has slipped into a tie with the suddenly faltering "Puppet Lint" for 3rd place overall. The "Wacky Corner", on the strength of their second straight 2nd place finish, have moved into 5th place and they have put 20 points between themselves and the plummeting out of control "J-Men". Their meteor ride downhill has brought "Just Dumb Luck" back into the mix for the top 6 positions. Much farther back in 10th place, "KC" is actually ever-so-sllllowwwwwly closing on "Don't Know Jack" for 9th place. This would be a humiliating turn of fortunes for Zoe and her 'Jack gang. "KC's" Cori still thinks they have a shot at 9th but with Kim on the team, well...............

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

With a forecast high of 70 degrees and a low in the 50s Thursday we might actually open up the deck Thursday night so bring sweaters for those of you who might be outside. On the tournament front the "Stupid MOFOs" rattled off their 3rd straight victory and they are now 38 points ahead of "Out of the Vortex" and they are threatening to go NASCAR on everyone else and lap the field. That may come to a halt though in the next couple of weeks as both the women and men from the 'MOFOs will be missing from the show on alternating Thursdays. Joyce is already panicing at the prospect of the 'Vortex catching them and she is desperately trying to hire ringers to fill in for them. Actually she is trying to find subs for her alone. She thinks she is the bright one and she has lost cofidence in Tracy (without the e). Tracy doesn't know this yet so shhhhhhhh!. Not only that but the lovely Kren from "Just the 18th" has been a constant distraction to the women from the 'MOFOs. (MEEOOOOW) For the guys she is a different type of distraction. Also, believe it or not, the screech owls from "Just The 18th" (Dawn brought out her sister Melanie and family) are maintaining their hold on 3rd place over "Off Duty" with "R & R" not too much farther back in 5th place. The "Bar Ks" welcomed back Jack and Karen last week from Myrtle Beach and they helped bring home a 3rd place finish. John and Lew were happy to see them after the dreadful week they had the week before without them. Looking in on 6th place from the outside, and salivating at the prospect, is the "Crimson Tide". Jan was in Michigan last week and they could have used her. Hey Jan, bad planning. Thursdays are all about ME.

Your Remaining mini-categories for the tournament are:

Cars & Trucks
First Ladies of the United States
Poetry
Porn Stars
South Carolina

See you guys Thursday night.
