WELCOME TO THE
BILLY WARMTH TRIVIA SHOW

ANNOUNCEMENTS
My plans for Pittsburgh fell through so I WILL be hosting on Monday Night at the Barn Door. Or Webmikester, Mike Horn, was doing cartwheels when he found out that I was actually available to host my own show.

And, in a further Barn Door development, all teams who answered "Kings " to one of my Bible questions and I initially marked as incorrect will be getting that extra point.
NOW, ON WITH THE SHOW

Last Week's Blurbage

WOW, what a difference a tournament makes. It was another sold out show here at the Barn door last week as 15 teams and 77 people showed up just so I could destroy their brain cells. And, to my amusement, "R & R" won the night beating the likes of the "J-Men" and "Out of the Vortex" who finished tied for 2nd until that previously mentioned scoring correction moved the 'Vortex into 2nd all by themselves. After that scoring correction was announced, the "Wacky Corner", elated over the fact that I had announced that they finished 3rd, were relegated to 4th place. The "J-Men" complained that I had missed one of their correct answers in the final round and they were correct but it still didn't help them. AND, to shock the trivia world, "Don't Know Jack" showed up with only ONE player and that was Emily. Emily finished with a respectable 51 points playing all by herself. Not too shabby. Of course my disappointment came when I realized that the "Stupid MOFOs" didn't make it out to the show. Of course the rest of the crowd cheered that news. Back to the winners; "R & R" had a field day with the questions as they almost seemed to know what I was going to ask before I even asked it. And they have quietly, no, make that NOISILY, moved into 3rd place in the overall standings, just 5 points behind the "J-Men" and 18 points behind the 'Vortex.

Last Week's Blurbage

Last week here at Conestoga we were moved to the Dining Room from the Ballroom because of a Janney Montgomery Scott function but that worked out just fine. We packed the place with our biggest crowd since opening night with 7 teams and 54 people. We had 2 entirely new teams who are now hooked on the show and will be back. And we also welcomed back Lady Di and the 3 Amigos, aka the Street Performers, aka the Odd Couples when the men are out. Speaking of the "3 Amigos", they aced the 3rd round in their march to victory last week and crys went up for a Congressional investigation. Just a note, the very wacky "Dog Pound" has been dropping like a rock in a pond and now find themselves 13 points behind in 4th place overall. Just the fact that "Nobody Knows Crap" is ahead of them should really bug them.

Last Week's Blurbage

WOW, what a crowd last week here at the Barn Door. Even without the threatened appearance of the "Stupid MOFOs/Desperate Housewives" we still had 14 teams and 78 total players. Thanks to all who showed up last week. And now that I have mentioned last week, let's discuss the VERY fickle "J-Men" and the 2009 Spring Tournament. After their opening week of playing like Kowalski in Vanishing Point they outdid themselves last week and came roaring back with a HUGE 82 point night and crushed the 2nd place "Wacky Corner" by 12 points and "Out of the Vortex" by 13. The 'Vortex still maintains a healthy 12 point lead over the "J-Men" in the overall standings. "Crimson Tide" is maintaining 3rd place although they had a tough time last week too. The "Wacky Corner " has risen to 4th place overall after their 2nd place finish last week. Meanwhile "R & R" has tumbled to 5th place as Bruiser was once again apparently no help at all. And "Just Dumb Luck" can be thankful that "KC" didn't show up last week because that may have proved embarrassing.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, we had 42 players on 4 teams for the 3rd night of our 9-week debut of the Spring 2009 Trivia Challenge Tournament here at the Conestoga Country Club. I am not sure why the crowd is a bit anemic. You would think the members would WANT to support the show a bit better since they are already paying for the adventure but.......alas, sometimes things take longer to get going than you might think. In any case, a HUGE surprise has develop at the top of the tournament leaderboard and another HUGE surprise happened at last weeks show. Dawn Cooper's gang of misfits play at my Crossgates show, whenever that returns, as "Just the 18th" because they live..........on the 18th fairway......DUH! I have been doing THAT show since 2002 and they have NEVER, EVER finished first. Well miracle of miracles happened last week. Yes, they finished FIRST but they still find themselves mired in 4th place overall in the tournament but only 6 points out of first place. I know you are asking yourselves ..... "but Billy, how can that be?". Well nobody wants to be in 1st place. Apparently Carly has placed a curse on the teams ahead of hers ("Nobody Knows Crap"). Yes Carly is Dawn's daughter, go figure. They might actually be IN 1st place if they paid more attention to Rob, JR and Jim. As for 1st place overall, somehow "We Don't Know Jack", that George and Antonio inspired band of thugs has pushed their way into 1st place. They are treating the woeful "Dog Pound" and the 'Pound's chew toys, the "Rejected Puppies" as their own Pound Puppies and have just moved their very gangster like personas ahead of them and they are in front of everyone by 5 points. Hmmmmmmm, what's happening to the trivia world? By the way, THIS WEEKS SHOW WILL BE HELD IN THE DINING ROOM and the NO JEANS/DENIM POLICY IS NOW IN EFFECT!

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, The first night of our Spring 2009 Trivia Challenge Tournament here at the Barn Door was a HUGE success. We had 12 Teams and 74 people show up to do battle and even KC had fun AND for the first time in weeks Jim Miller of the "J-Men" did NOT get beat up by Dusty after the show. Tourney favorites, but NOT favored, "Out of the Vortex, have assumed the early lead with a 5 point victory over "R & R" with "Crimson Tide" just 9 points back in 3rd place after the opening round. The "Wacky Corner" is starting out in their usual fashion, SLOOOOWWWWWLY and "KC" is back to their old tricks. After finishing in 5th place and winning money in the Fall 2008 tournament the girls from "KC" have decided they are more comfortable in 10th place so, guess where they are? Yep, 10th place. Good luck again this week. See you Monday night.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, we had 44 players on 5 teams for the 2nd night of our 9-week debut of the Spring 2009 Trivia Challenge Tournament here at the Conestoga Country Club. The cast off group from the "Dog Pound", the "Rejected Puppies", have assumed command of the tournament after just 2 weeks and they have made claims that NOBODY can catch them.....not even the "Dog Pound". They have even totally discounted the Dawn Cooper backed "Nobody Knows Crap". As a matter of fact, a few of the 'Puppies were overheard saying that the "Dog Pound" team members are pretenders to the throne. And the scoring showed that they may be correct. Last week the 'Pound suffered so badly that even the likes of the Antonio inspired "We Don't Know Jack" moved ahead of the 'Pound into 2nd place overall so who knows where all of this is going but it looks like there might be bloodshed in the parking lot before this tournament ends on April 30th. Good luck to ALL of you. Your mini-categories are listed below for the tournament. They are in alphabetical order NOT order of use.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, we nearly doubled our crowd from the previous show which was pretty good. Our opening night of the first tournament here at Conestoga turned out to be a pretty nice evening, with the "Dog Pound" winning for the second straight as well as winning the opening night of our 9-week tournament. It was an extremely close contest as the top 3 teams were separated by 2 tiny points. The "Dog Pound's" spinoff team of the "Rejected Puppies" lost by 1 point and "We Don't Know jack" had to settle for 3rd place. Hey gang, welcome back to WINTER. Due to the conditions at this moment and with the forecast for windy and cold conditions tonight, I am cancelling tonights show at the Barn Door. I would rather do that then put any of you at risk, especially since tonight was to be the start of your SPRING (whatever that is) tournament and I KNOW how eager and greedy some of you are for all the points you can get. Stay home and bundle up, read a good book or watch reruns of House. "Crimson Tide" and "Out of the Vortex"......get the porn out. See you guys next week for the beginning of your Spring 2009 tournament.

Be Safe,

Buddha
