MONDAY NIGHTS @ 8:30PM

Come out around 7:30 and have a really good meal, then have some dessert.

Last Week's Blurbage

Oh Yeah, another HUGE night, 15 teams and over 80 people once again brought the Barn Door to a near standstill last Monday night. Parking was most certainly at a premium. It was a truly strange night when, thanks to the Horse Breeds mini-category, Brian's harem changed their team name to "Hung Like a Horse". That got Kim and server Cathy's attention until they realized that it was Kristina who thought of the team name. that brought shivers to their spines. It was also a high scoring night with "Out of the Vortex" capturing 1st place away from the 'Horse people. The amazing story of the night was "Just Dumb Luck" scoring very well and finishing in 3rd place. It had absolutely nothing to do with Bob threatening to kill me after I annouced the change in direction for the Barn Door. It seems that from now on they will have male strippers on friday nights and bartender Gary (Bob's son) is apparently going to be leading the group as they dance on tables all over the place. "KC's" Karen can't wait to put her dollar bills to good use, and, the Steph, of the "Wacky corner" has been waiting for this moment for years. It seems that she has been wanting to see Gary in a g-string for many years. Stefan agrees with Stephanie.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Some time this summer we might just find out how many people this deck can really hold here at crossgates. We had nearly 130 people here last Thursday night on one of the nicest nights we have had in a long time for this show. You just can't beat mid 80s, low humidity, slight breeze. It was an excellent weather night. As for the show, remember Brian (math geek) and the "Hung Like a Horse" team from the Monday night blurb? Well, the mini-category of Integral Calculus drew them out for the Celi's show last week and they called themselves the "Square Root of 9 Musketeers" and they slipped by the Jan inspired "Bar Ks" for 1st place. This was the "Bar Ks' second consecutive 2nd place finish! Will they ever return to the top spot? "Ladies Night Out", led by the Beastie Boy inspired Bruiser finished in 3rd place last week just ahead of Jeff's (another math geek) "Keep This Coupon" and "Scrapple". The deep-on-the-deck mega-team of "Off Duty" finished just outside of the top 5 with a very good 68 point night. I think it was Lauren's fault.....at least that is what Sarah and Jackie said. The top 6 teams were separated by a total of 7 points. Without ties it can't get much closer than that. Any one of those teams could have won last week. Where, you ask, was "Out of the Vortex". They finished WELL back in the pack for the 2nd straight week and nobody can quite figure out why. Dawn's team is hoping that the 'Vortex continues this trend duing the upcoming Fall tournament. There are apparently plentying of fingers pointing in many different directions. Welcome back to the "Cheeseballs", the "Phillies" and the "Bucketheads". In regards to the "Cheeseballs", they had a really good night but Cheryl was once again quick to blame Jay on the team's downfall. Remember when the 'Balls were a force to be dealt with? Then Jay went and retired! I think playing golf has taken some of Jay's grey cells captive. "Crimson Tide and math geek Jan invited friends from the Penn Manor quiz bowl team to join them but, alas, my questions are not the type they are use to hearing and ddzzzzz, there go the brain cells, like a fly in a bug zapper. Even with math geek Jan leading the charge the 'Tide had a tough night.
