Last Week's Blurbage

Upon my return last week to my shows I was confronted with shouts of "Kill Bruiser" and "Jumbles Suck". Imagine my confusion when I also heard people moan and grown when I announced that I didn't have any jumbles for them at last weeks shows. Oh, you guys are so fickle. I want to thank Bruiser for the fine job he did filling in for me while I was on vacation. As far as the show goes, it seems as if "Out of the Vortex" is out for blood. With the Fall 2007 Tournaments on the horizon for both shows, those bloodthirsty ubergeeeks from the 'Vortex are heating up early. Last Monday night they took apart all competition as they romped to a 12 point victory over the "Rove-less Cowbell" while the once-feared "Wacky Corner" had to settle for a tie for 3rd place with the "J-Men". Shortly after the show the 'Cowbell's Stefan was seen out in the parking lot being whipped by Kim over the hood of a car. Apparently she was upset over his poor performance (At the show, not at home). It was pointed out that he seemed to be enjoying it. The "Wacky Corner, on the other hand, took a totally different avenue in showing their disappointment with a fellow teammate. Bob was told that if he did not start contributing more the team would be forced to replace him with Ryan Howard.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Just like the Barn Door, "Out of the Vortex" seems to be on a mission to avoid the humiliating defeats they have suffered in the last few tournaments. Their mission as I understand it is to not lose to those "girls" (Bruiser and Matt) from "Ladies Night Out" or the "alcoholics" at the bar. I think Keith and Margie are talking about the "Bar Ks"(their ringleader Karen was not able to make it out). Speaking of "Ladies Night Out" a big welcome back goes out to Jordan. Yes "the black guy" returned last week and nearly helped the'Ladies (Bruiser and Mat) pull out a victory. However, the 'Vortex would have none of it as they nearly aced the final round to come from behind and steal the victory away from"Ladies Night Out" and the well rested "R & R" (they wound up tied for 2nd place). It was a narrow 2 point victory and Barbara took complete credit for the win. The "Bar Ks" tied the "Fighting Mongooses" for 4th place last Thursday so there are two announced mini-categories for next week (see below).
