Last Week's Blurbage

Another good crowd last week as we welcomed back the "Cacophony of Curious Canines". Say what? Yes it was the return of Tony, Lisa, Rich, Cindy, Angela and Kelsey (fromerly known as "Puppet Lint") and they did an excellent job finishing second behind the mighty "Out of the Vortex". The "J-Men" finished a distant 3rd. That was probably because they chose to eat as a team at the tables in the dining room instead of their usual position opposite the 4th place "Wacky Corner" at the bar. Tom tried to stack the deck by trading his lovely daughter Holland for his lovely wife. Didn't work. "Just Dumb Luck" had their streak of 4 straight 4th place finishes broken as Jack Nicholson bested Paul Newman for Oscar nominations. You had to be there for that one.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Last Thursday night was a special night as we welcomed one of Central PA's finest showmen to the show. His name is James Thomas. He is the frontman with the golden pipes from the rock band Leadfoot. They are featured on the cover of January's issue of Pennsylvania Musician magazine. Why do I mention this you ask! Because James Thomas is my highly regarded younger brother. Yes, that guy with the hair down to his ankles, the 22 inch waist and a cool sense of humor is also now an adopted member of last week's winners, the "Stupid MOFOs". He had an option to play on "Out of the Vortex" with Margie and the gang of geeks but then I introduced him to the 'MOFOs Joyce, Tracy and Lisa. When he stopped drooling all over himself he said "I'm playing with them". Yeah, in his dreams. Well, after we put the towels away, the show was on. The ubergeeks from the 'Vortex didn't stand a chance last week, nor did anyone else as the JT(James thomas) infused 'MOFOs were nearly perfect with 'Vortex floundering in 2nd. Surprisingly, the geriatric "Thorns-N-Roses", without the youngins, actually still managed to finish in 3rd place. That is the 2nd week in a row that they have finished in the top 3. The Vegas odds makers were stunned by this and they have asked the Nevada Gaming Commission to open up an investigation. Further back in the pack the "Bar Ks" are concerned about their upcoming tournament hopes as they have lost the help of John and Jan for 3 months. John is serving a consulting sentence in New Jersey and Jan went with him. Conjugal visits are apparently permitted. We also welcomed back "Plebus". Donna and Steve had the lovely Sue and her wacko husband Barry in tow along with Adam and his better half. "Just the 18th's" Dawn was wondering where Zuzu was. John told me I should tell her he had to wash his hair.

January 31st: Jumbles
February 7th: World Leaders
February 14(Valentines Day): Flowers
February 21st: Florida

See you guys Thursday night.
