To all of my Crossgates faithful, with Crossgates making major renovations in about a month please join me at the Barn Door on Monday nights. I would love to see you guys there and I would miss all of you terribly during the renovations. So, start coming out on Monday nights. Great food, tremendous service, excellent competition. And, they BOO "Out of the Vortex" as much as you guys do. Also, if the Barn Door lot gets full, please park in the Boro Police Department lot at the top of the Barn Door lot. However, DO NOT park in spots that say police vehicles only. That would be kinda STUPID and I can't fix STUPID.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, "Out of the Vortex", with the tournaments "Out of the Way", is moving right into the holidays without letting up. Last Monday here at the barn Door they stomped on the throats of the 2nd place "Wacky Corner" by 20 points and the 3rd place "J-Men" by 25 points. I think it was their way of saying "bite me" for the holidays. Be prepared for that influx of Crossgates players as they head into their renovation shutdown. And, with the holidays approaching 'Vortex was wondering outloud if "Puppet Lint" and "Lionel Richie Has Left Us" are EVER going to come out of hiding and TRY to challenge them. The 'Vortex's Barbara and Sam were overheard saying that "NOBODY can handle them". So come out Monday nights. It is a great way to break up the Winter blues. And make sure you get there around 7:30 or so and have a good meal before the show. That will also insure that you actually get a seat. Capacity is around 100 and we have been averaging about 60 so seating might become a problem. Also, if the Barn Door lot gets full, please park in the Boro Police Department lot at the top of the Barn Door lot. However, DO NOT park in spots that say police vehicles only. That would be kinda STUPID and I can't fix STUPID. AVOID the Getty Mart lot at all costs, as a matter of fact, IGNORE the Getty Mart PERIOD.

This is a beautiful and challenging 18-hole full service public golf course located just south of the Millersville University campus at Shenks Lane and Crossland Pass. Crossgates PGA Pro Scott Fritz is the guy to see. Call 872-4500 or visit the Pro-Shop for info on tee times, rates, lessons or bang a few buckets of balls on the driving range. Men's and Ladies locker rooms and showers are available. Crossgates is a non-metal spikes facility.
