The Spring 2009 Barn Door 9-week tournament begins on Monday March the 9th and the inaugural Spring Tournament at the Conestoga Country Club began on Thursday March the 5th. Get your teams ready for this semi annual event. Lots of prizes and.....well......ME!

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, we nearly doubled our crowd from the previous show which was pretty good. Our opening night of the first tournament here at Conestoga turned out to be a pretty nice evening, with the "Dog Pound" winning for the second straight as well as winning the opening night of our 9-week tournament. It was an extremely close contest as the top 3 teams were separated by 2 tiny points. The "Dog Pound's" spinoff team of the "Rejected Puppies" lost by 1 point and "We Don't Know jack" had to settle for 3rd place. This is a beautiful and challenging 18-hole full service public golf course located just south of the Millersville University campus at Shenks Lane and Crossland Pass. Crossgates PGA Pro Scott Fritz is the guy to see. Call 872-4500 or visit the Pro-Shop for info on tee times, rates, lessons or bang a few buckets of balls on the driving range. Men's and Ladies locker rooms and showers are available. Crossgates is a non-metal spikes facility.
