ANNOUNCEMENTS

The board of directors at the Conestoga Country Club has changed their collective minds about shutting down the show. We will now have a show the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of every month through the fall. The tournament has just concluded and we will take a week off and return to the club on May 14th and again on the 28th. Stay tuned for any further developments.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, another full house here at the Barn Door last week and "Out of the Vortex" now has a 28 point lead over the "J-Men" with ONE week to go in the Spring 2009 tournament. The "J-Men" are another 29 points in front of the 3rd place nutballs from "R&R" and Bruiser has been absent for the past 2 weeks. "R&R" is clinging to a slim 10 point adge over the "Wacky Corner". "Crimson Tide" appears to have locked up a money position as they sit in 5th place with the "Purple Sticky Punch" 20 points behind them. As for the infamous "KC", it looks like 10th place will once again be theirs and theirs alone, unless they no-show or TOTALLY collapse which is NOT beyond the realm of possibilities.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, our regular 4 teams showed up again and one extra team, the "Gardening Hoes". It was a good conclusion to our inaugural Spring tournament here at the Conestoga Country Club. "We Don't Know Jack" ran away with the title. They finished in 1st place 4 out of 9 weeks and never lower than 3rd. The pretenders to the throne from the VERY beginning was the 2nd place "Dog Pound" although I wonder where they would have fiinished if they had been able to sit at their favorite table in the Ballroom for the entire tournament. The "Rejected Puppies" limped into 3rd place and the infamous "Nobody Knows Crap" ALMOST stole 3rd place away as they finished just 10 points behind the 'Puppies in 4th place. All in all it was a good tournament although I wish we had been able to get more interest from more of the membership. See you guys in 2 weeks.

This is a beautiful and challenging 18-hole full service public golf course located just south of the Millersville University campus at Shenks Lane and Crossland Pass. Crossgates PGA Pro Scott Fritz is the guy to see. Call 872-4500 or visit the Pro-Shop for info on tee times, rates, lessons or bang a few buckets of balls on the driving range. Men's and Ladies locker rooms and showers are available. Crossgates is a non-metal spikes facility.
