ANNOUNCEMENTS

The board of directors at the Conestoga Country Club has decided to end the show at the conclusion of the tournament on April 30th for the rest of the Spring, Summer and Fall because of the golf season getting into full swing. We will return in the late fall.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, another full house here at the Barn Door last week and "Out of the Vortex" now has a commanding lead in the Spring 2009 tournament over the "J-Men". The "J-Men" are now 23 points behind the tournament leaders with just 3 weeks to go and if you actually look at the statistics, that is less than one 5 point question per week. Hey "J-Men", you better step it up. In 3rd place is the "Wacky Corner". The 'Corner has sufferred without Ed and Natalie the last couple of weeks. Phil tries to pick up the slack but Lori says he just doesn't have what it takes. In 4th place, only 3 points behind the "Wacky Corner", is "R&R", the single loudest, most irritating group of yahoos on the planet but you gotta love their support for the show. "Crimson Tide" is holding on to 5th place and unless Jaime REALLY screws up his team (likely says Jan)......."Just Dumb Luck" is lurking.......they are headed for that 5th place finish. Speaking of "Just Dumb Luck"......Katie and her band of loons had better watch out. AJ's "Purple Sticky Punch", Tara's "Just Bonin' Up", and "Bob's Angels" are all licking their chops at that final 6th place money position. And Emily and her "Don't Know Jack" misfits are trying very hard to keep "KC" out of that 10th place spot that they oh-so love.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, our regular 4 teams showed up again but with MUCH larger numbers. All seemed to have fun as we wind down our Spring stint here at the Country Club. 2 weeks to go and Antonio's goofy "We Don't Know Jack" gang has virtually assured themselves of the 1st place spot. They have won for 3 consecutive weeks and now hold a 42 point lead over the once mighty "Dog Pound" who tried to invigorate themselves by adding the Schoffstalls to their team. That deadly father-daughter combo just wasn't enough as they faltered once again. "And, Screechowl Dawn's "Nobody Knows Crap" team is back in 3rd place and only 10 points behind the 'Pound as they dumped the "Rejected Puppies" into 4th place overall.

This is a beautiful and challenging 18-hole full service public golf course located just south of the Millersville University campus at Shenks Lane and Crossland Pass. Crossgates PGA Pro Scott Fritz is the guy to see. Call 872-4500 or visit the Pro-Shop for info on tee times, rates, lessons or bang a few buckets of balls on the driving range. Men's and Ladies locker rooms and showers are available. Crossgates is a non-metal spikes facility.
