WELCOME TO THE
BILLY WARMTH TRIVIA SHOW

Greetings Earthlings, I am your host, Mr Billy (Buddha Belly) Warmth. I am the purveyor of mirth and madness, causer of brain cell cannibalization, giver of great prizes and the Master of all things trivial, well, next to Curtis Earth that is. Follow me now to the Land of TRIVIA.

GIVE YOURSELVES A BREAK, KEEP THE DISHES AND POTS/PANS IN THE CABINET, SAVE YOUR APPETITES AND COME OUT EARLY FOR SOME GOOD FOOD AND A GOOD SEAT AT THE SHOWS!

IT'S TOURNAMENT TIME

Yep, here we are with the Fall 2006 Back Nine Challenge.

The tournaments run for 9 weeks at each venue.

Each show maintains the same format you are familiar with as far as the weekly prizes and types of questions but I will also keep a cumulative points total for the 9-week period at each show. Also, just to add another level of frustration, each show during the tournaments will feature 2 questions in each round from 2 mini-categories. Yes, there will be 2 mini-categories per show during the tournaments.

The top 6 teams in total points after the 9 weeks at each show will recieve the following cash prizes respectively.

1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $85
3rd Place - $65
4th Place - $50
5th Place - $40
6th Place - $30

There will also be additional individual prizes and a grand prize at each show.

The mini-categories are listed below with each show but be advised; the list is in no particular order. I will use 2 of them each week. There are 18 mini-categories for each show and the only 2 you will be certain of will be the final week of each tournament because the other 16 will have been used. As each show finishes I will drop those 2 mini-categories from each show's list.

Special Announcements

ANNOUNCEMENT #1

Today (September 17th) is Constitution Day in the United States and it honors the day the Constitutional Convention signed the Constitution in 1787. On Tuesday, September 19th (yep, this Tuesday), in honor of Constitution Day, I will be hosting a trivia show in McComsey Auditorium on the Millersville University campus. The show is open to the public and begins promptly at 3pm. The show should last approximately 1 hour and ALL of the questions will have to do with the U. S. Constitution. Prizes will be awarded for the top teams and pocket Constitutions will be available for those who want one. Get a team together or come out by yourself, have some fun and learn about the framework by which we govern ourselves.

ANNOUNCEMENT #2

Best Wishes to our good friend and trivia partner Damion Wolfe on his most extensive Southern U. S. tour to date. Damion is an extraordinary singer/songwriter from Baltimore who, beginning on Friday, September 15th, will be doing shows in North Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida before returning on the 28th of September for a show in Annapolis. Damion also has released his 3rd CD. It is a live, 16-track collection of songs recorded at various shows. You can get all the info you want about Damion from his website at www.damionwolfe.com. You can also order Damion's CDs from the site or you can pick one up at any of his shows.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, you knew it was coming. The Barn Door's 1st Fall Trivia Challenge has begun. Beginning last Monday night, and for 9 consecutuive weeks, I will be putting your brain cells through exercises that are NOT meant for the weak and feeble minded. Nor should anyone attend who thinks the National Enquirer, Paris Hilton, Geraldo Rivera and Jerry Springer are at the top of their genres. UH OH! Some of you shouldn't be coming out and you know who you are. Hey, have fun anyway.

The "Lionel Richie Has Left Us" gang, the 3rd place finishers in the 2006 Spring Tournament at Crossgates, has migrated to the Barn Door and they have taken the early lead in the Fall tournament here. "Out of the Vortex", the Spring champion, took it on the chin in the 1st round as the "Solar Powered Sex Toys at Night" (you gotta love that name) and the "Wacky Corner" finished 2nd and 3rd respectively on opening night. "Large Group of Stupid Monkeys", with ringleader Jay, are right behind 'Vortex in 5th place and "Don't Know Jack", led by the Platinum Princess, completes the early top 6 money positions.

LAST WEEK'S TOP TEAMS

1st Place - 70 Points - Lionel Richie Has Left Us
2nd Place - 62 Points - Sex Toys
3rd Place - 58 Points - Wacky Corner
4th Place - 56 Points - Out of the Vortex
5th Place - 53 Points - Large Group of Stupid Monkeys

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Last week was the second week of the 5th Annual Fall 2006 Back Nine Trivia Challenge here at the Villa Nova West. "Out of the Vortex" has jumped out to an early 11 point lead as they begin a mission to reverse the upset they suffered in the Spring Tournament here at the Villa Nova West at the hands of "Holy SWAG" and "Tangled Up In Booze". Speaking of the 'Booze team, they missed the 1st week of the tournament but they returned last week after a LONG hiatus playing Frizbee Golf and they are poised to do some damage. Early congratulations and good luck to Lucy on the oh-so-very-soon birth of her baby. The early 2nd place position belongs to "Cowbell" who, according to the rest of Stefan's teammates, might be in 1st place if only for...........! "Hot Nuts & Honeys", "Steel Reserves", "Lebowski" (without Fish) and "Army of 1" (the former "Lone Irishman") round out the top six spots. You might be asking yourself "Where in the world is "Holy SWAG?" Well, they are currently in 7th place and Natalie emailed me to say that the SWAGsters got beat up last week because she and Gary were NOT there. Hey Kathy, Randy and Richard, whatta ya got to say to that. Wonderful use of the English language huh! Just wanted Amish Kathy to feel at home.

LAST WEEK'S TOP TEAMS

1st Place - 71 Points - Out of the Vortex
2nd Place - 62 Points - Cowbell
3rd Place - 54 Points - Steel Reserves

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Can you still believe it! In the 2005 Fall Tournament here at Crossgates the "2 Ks" and the "Bar Flies" finished 7th and 8th respectively. During this past Spring tournament they merged, formed the "Bar Ks" and finished 4th. Now, during the fall tournament, they have maintained their alliance and hold a 9 point lead after 2 weeks of the Fall 2006 Back Nine Challenge over the likes of "R & R" "Wrecked 'Um" (formerly the Consultants), "Off Duty" (a wacky group of educators from Jenkins), "Out of the Vortex" and the "Assassins". Are the "Bar Ks" for real? According to Karen and Jan they would be doing even better if..........! The bigger question on everyone's mind is "what has happened to the crew from "Ladies Night Out". Good question! They have won the last 2 tournaments here at Crossgates (Fall 2005 and Spring 2006) but they appear to have fallen on hard times. Be very wary of this bunch. In the Spring tournament they did not mount a charge until week 4 and then they went nuts. Don't look back, they might be gaining on you.

LAST WEEK'S TOP TEAMS

1ST PLACE - 66 POINTS - WRECKED 'UM
2nd Place - 60 Points - Off Duty
3rd Place - 58 Points - Bar Ks
4th Place - 56 Points - Cheeseballs
4th Place - 56 Points - R & R
6th Place - 55 Points - Out of the Vortex

TOURNAMENT TOP SIX

2nd Place - 117 Points - R & R
3rd Place - 116 Points - Wrecked 'Um
4th Place - 112 Points - Off Duty
