WELCOME TO THE
BILLY WARMTH TRIVIA SHOW

Greetings Earthlings, I am your host, Mr Billy (Buddha Belly) Warmth. I am the purveyor of mirth and madness, causer of brain cell cannibalization, giver of great prizes and the Master of all things trivial, well, next to Curtis Earth that is. Follow me now to the Land of TRIVIA.

GIVE YOURSELVES A BREAK, KEEP THE DISHES AND POTS/PANS IN THE CABINET, SAVE YOUR APPETITES AND COME OUT EARLY FOR SOME GOOD FOOD AND A GOOD SEAT AT THE SHOWS!

IT'S TOURNAMENT TIME

Yep, here we are with the Fall 2006 Back Nine Challenge.

The tournaments run for 9 weeks at each venue.

Each show maintains the same format you are familiar with as far as the weekly prizes and types of questions but I will also keep a cumulative points total for the 9-week period at each show. Also, just to add another level of frustration, each show during the tournaments will feature 2 questions in each round from 2 mini-categories. Yes, there will be 2 mini-categories per show during the tournaments.

The top 6 teams in total points after the 9 weeks at each show will recieve the following cash prizes respectively.

1st Place - $100
2nd Place - $85
3rd Place - $65
4th Place - $50
5th Place - $40
6th Place - $30

There will also be additional individual prizes and a grand prize at each show.

The mini-categories are listed below with each show but be advised; the list is in no particular order. I will use 2 of them each week. There are 18 mini-categories for each show and the only 2 you will be certain of will be the final week of each tournament because the other 16 will have been used. As each show finishes I will drop those 2 mini-categories from each show's list.

Last Week's Blurbage

Two weeks into the 9-week Fall Tournament and "Lionel Richie Has Left Us" is threatening to make mince-meat out of the competition. They have won the 1st 2 weeks and their overall lead has grown to 19 points over "Wacky Corner" and "Out of the Vortex" who are tied for 2nd place. The "Solar Powered S?x Toys at Night" (censor alert) team dropped from 2nd to 4th but they are only 1 point behind the 2nd place teams. The "Large Group of Stupid Monkeys", with ringleader Jay, are a tiny 2 points farther back in 5th place with "Don't Know Jack" trailing in the 6th and final money position.

Can "Lionel Richie" Handle The Pressure?
Can 'Vortex EVER Overcome The Loss of Ruth?
Will the "Wacky Corner EVER Finish Higher Than 3rd?
Will "Don't Know Jack" Prove Their Name To Be True?
(well, that one's not difficult)

Stay Tuned!

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Well, "Out of the Vortex", after getting humiliated by "Holy SWAG" in the Spring tournament, is out to prove that THEY are the rightful wearers of the trivia champion crown here at the Villa Nova West. The much despised 'Vortex ("Cowbell" told me to say that) has won 3 straight to open up the Fall tournament and they claim that they are going to CRUSH the daylights out of all pretenders to the trivia crown; especially "Cowbell" AND "Holy SWAG". I don't know why they are worried about the 'SWAGsters at this point and I am pretty certain that "Cowbell" will implode if they keep listening to Stefan. As a matter of fact, Kim is hoping to trade Stefan to "Holy SWAG" for Amish Kathy before the trivia trading deadline. I am not sure who should be more offended in that deal. "Hot Nuts & Honeys" is holding their own in 3rd place while "Steel Reserve", "Lebowski" and "Holy SWAG" are in a battle for the 4th place spot. They better not look back because our good friend Gary ("Army of 1") is lurking in 7th place.

LAST WEEK'S TOP TEAMS

1st Place - 65 Points - Out of the Vortex
2nd Place - 61 Points - Cowbell
3rd Place - 46 Points - Hot Nuts & Honeys

TOURNAMENT TOP SIX

1st Place - 197 Points - Out of the Vortex
2nd Place - 182 Points - Cowbell
3rd Place - 154 Points - Hot Nuts & Honeys
4th Place - 135 Points - Steel Reserves
5th Place - 134 Points - Lebowski
6th Place - 129 Points - Holy SWAG

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

After 3 weeks of our 2006 Fall Tournament here at Crossgates the UNBELIEVABLE "Bar Ks" won for the 2nd time in 3 weeks and increased their overall tournament lead to 15 points over "Wrecked 'Um". "Out of the Vortex", "Off Duty" and "Ladies Night Out" are on the move after a disastrous week for the fabled "R & R". It seems as if (according to Phyllis) they depended too much on answers from Sharon.....or was it Fran.....no, maybe she said Ralph. I think Phyllis has issues! In any case, I am certain it wasn't Judy's fault. The "Assassins" took a tumble out of the top 6 but I am sure that it will only be a brief absence. OR WILL IT? Further back, "Thorns-n-Roses" is once again locked in their epic struggle to continue their mastery of a 10th place tournament finish. Good Luck to the 'Roses on their continuing quest for mediocrity!

LAST WEEK'S TOP TEAMS

1ST PLACE - 59 POINTS - BAR Ks
2nd Place - 58 Points - Out of the Vortex
3rd Place - 54 Points - Wrecked 'Um

TOURNAMENT TOP SIX

1st Place - 185 Points - Bar Ks
2nd Place - 170 Points - Wrecked 'Um
3rd Place - 168 Points - Out of the Vortex
4th Place - 164 Points - Off Duty
5th Place - 159 Points - Ladies Night Out
6th Place - 158 Points - R & R
