Low Attendance Scuttles Annie Baileys

Last Week's Blurbage

Another very good night with 14 teams in attendance and "Out of the Vortex" refuses to give up on it's quest for the title of Trivia Gods of the Universe. For the 2nd week since the conclusion of the Spring tournament, the 'Vortex has dominated all pretenders to their thrown. For the 2nd straight week those space cadets, led last week by Emporer Mecum, scored in the 70s and ran away from 2nd place "Lionel Richie Has Left Us". Congrats, by the way, to the Emporer on his successful run to get on the November ballot for one of the open judicial seats for Lancaster.

The always tough "Just Bonin' Up" took the 3rd spot last week which is usually reserved for the "Wacky Corner". Chad apparently wasn't much help for the 'Corner last week but promises to do much better when his favorite, "South Park", becomes the mini-category for Monday night's show this week.

This Week's Mini-Category

TV Show - South Park

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

After a successful return to the top of the heap 2 weeks ago, the "Bar Ks" faltered last week and that allowed their arch-nemesis, "Out of the Vortex", to capture 1st place. The "Bar Ks" were not as stunned as "Ladies Night Out" when Debra Winger, yes that Debra Winger, showed up in the 2nd round and Bruiser and company did not recognize her. That oversight cost the 'Ladies a tie for first place. Apparently Bruiser has a thing for Simka Gravis. WHO? You had to be there.

Also stunning the "Bar Ks" was "Off Duty", which finished in 3rd place and kept Karen's crew from taking any glory at all last Thursday. Jan and John then beat her up in the parking lot.....to which Dawn, from "Gracies Team", said "hey, I'm the one that get's beat up around here."

"R & R" finished 5th, ahead of the "Bar Ks', and picked the 1940s and 50s Boston Red Sox for this week's mini-category.

This Week's Mini-Category

1940s and 50s Boston Red Sox

GOOD LUCK
&
See you guys Thursday night.
