Last Week's Blurbage

Well, the attendance came back somewhat last week. We had 70 people and we welcomed back the "Puppet Lint". They are like the Hatfields and McCoys all on one team. And, they finished in 3rd place. We haven't seen them since the end of the Spring tournament so they were a welcome sight. Angela is back from doing missionary work in Kenya, I mean Kansas (same thing). It was especially pleasing to see Rich and Cindy and daughter Kelsey. Rich is recovering from a very serious kidney issue and although he lost alot of weight he really looks good. Welcome back bud and continued good health to you. As for the rest of the teams, the unstoppable "Out of the Vortex" won with 75 points. The "J-Men" finished 2nd and Jim and Tom beat each other up right in front of Tom's lovely family. Mr Miller blamed Tom for some of the wrong answers that sank the team. Jim just can't accept the fact that it might be him causing the problems. Sounds like a Manor Township planning meeting to me. "Don't KNow Jack" was back with the adorable Zoe and they finished in 5th placejust 4 points behind Brian, Kim and Bill's team of "Yoko Ono, Or For the Dyslexic.....Ono". On a low note, the "Wacky Corner" was beaten by 1 point by Chad's sister's team "I am McLovin'". Now that is humiliating. Where in the world has "Lionel Richie Has Left Us" been. And, not to go unmentioned, "KCC" managed to tie for 9th.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Holy cow, what a night. Crystal clear, warm and no wind at all, perfectly calm. Add to that the 147 people on 19 teams. Ahhh....and guess what...."Chroma", the ones from the Kennedy Administration, finished in the top 6 AGAIN. Stewart is taking ALL of the credit and apparently he is blaming Queen Paula for the team not doing better. This wasn't a pretty sight. Canes were flying and walkers were being hurled all over the place. Speaking of not pretty sights, the "Stupid MOFOs" were locked in another epic struggle with "Out of the Vortex", the team that the 'MOFOs claim cheat by using their ventilators to get more oxygen to their brains. Well, Joyce's band of wackos from the 'MOFOs beat the 'Vortex by 1 point; they hammered all other teams the week before and Joyce has, once again, taken all of the credit. Boy her teammates hate her. In 3rd place was the returning FULL squad from the "Fighting Mongooses". They came within 5 points of tying for 1st place. They are very "Chroma"-like in that they haven't seen the leaderboard since 1962 either. Welcome back to the luscious Leslie and Tanya and a special welcome to trivia virgin Brandon. Uh oh, Joyce probably just went ballistic reading that. She thinks she is the only luscious one worthy of mentioning. The pleasure/pain team this week had to be "Crimson Tide". Why, you ask. Well, they take great pleasure in just coming out each week to enjoy the show and they sometimes do really well. Then comes the pain part of last week. It seems that even Bruiser's own teammates don't want to play with him as NOBODY else showed up from "R & R" so the 'Tide took pitty on him and let him join them for the night. As the night ended they declared that they would NEVER do that again. And so it goes, another week of fun and team mayhem.

Your Upcoming Mini-Categories are:

July 17th - Snakes
July 24th - Revolutionary War
July 31st - Math Terms

See you guys Thursday night.
