Low attendance, If you consider 60 people low. the bar was full and the main dining room was full but the back room was just.........ME. We did have 9 teams and "Out of the Vortex" took the top spot AGAIN, but this time with 80 points and not 58. "Inspect Her Gadget" was second without Father Tom in attendance with "the "J-Men" coming in 3rd place, tieing with the "Wacky Corner'. 'Just Dumb Luck" was farther back in 4th place thanks to Katie....she told me to say that. I think she slammed herself on that one. Without her, would they have done better? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm! And much farther back was.....yes.....you guessed it.....KC. long with Karen and Cori, Kathy showed up; but Kim and Carol didn't, you do the math.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Wow, another super night here at Crossgates. As we get deeper and deeper into summer the crowds always get larger. Last week we only had 15 teams but some of them grew in size and that meant 143 people at Celis and the bad weather that was forecast never materialized. And that was without "Just the 18th" showing up. As for the victorious ones, the "Stupid MOFOs" ran away with yet another victory. Your defending tournament champions will certainly be looked on as the favorite in your Fall tournament. "Out of the Vortex" finished 2nd with upstart "Team Gallo" coming in 3rd. The 'Gallo has been in the money 4 out of the 5 weeks they have been playing. The balance of the teams were oh-so very close they are kicking themselves because just one extra correct answer would have meant a HUGE difference. The "Bar Ks" missed the money but 1 measly point, with "Crimson Tide' and the "Better Half" just behind them.. And then ther was, of course, "Croma". They get so worked up when they do well. Kinda like a salt lick to a deer, then you shoot the sucker........... Pleasure/Pain Principle.

This is a beautiful and challenging 18-hole full service public golf course located just south of the Millersville University campus at Shenks Lane and Crossland Pass. Crossgates PGA Pro Scott Vandegrift (MU Golf Team Head Coach) and assistant PGA Pro Scott Fritz are the guys to see. Call 872-4500 or visit the Pro-Shop for info on tee times, rates, lessons or bang a few buckets of balls on the driving range. Men's and Ladies locker rooms and showers are available. Crossgates is a non-metal spikes facility.
