Last Week's Blurbage

Well, The Spring 2008 9-week Trivia Challenge is now behind us and "Out of the Vortex" successfully defended their Fall title as champions. The 'Vortex won in quite an impressive fashion as they beat the number 2 team of "Lionel Richie Has Left Us by a whopping 68 points. That is nearly an 8 point per week margin of victory. Congrats to the 'Super-geriatric Geeks from the 'Vortex. They also won the final 6 weekly individual contests out of the 9 total. Third thru sixth place was separated by a total of 7 points as "Is that Some-Kinda-Thing In Your Pants or Are You.....?" had to hold off "Wacky Corner", the crash and burn team of "Puppet Lint" and the pre-tourney favorite, the "J-Men". And yes, once again, for the 5th straight tournament, "KC" finished in 10th place. They enjoy it so much they are going to court next week to declare themselves permanent 10th place champions so they no longer have to show up on a weekly basis. The lovely Angela, from "Puppet Lint", won the Grand Prize of the flat screen TV and told her dad that since he didn't help and cost them 3rd place he couldn't share in watching it to which Tony said.........FINE!Congrats to all and thanks once again for making this such a successfull show here at the Barn Door.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Yes, just like the Barn Door we have concluded our Spring 2008 Trivia Challenge. This was our 7th annual Spring tournament and even though Joyce paniced a little, her newcomers, the "Stupid MOFOs", indeed did upset the heavily favored "Out of the Vortex" for the title. The 'MOFOs were led by Tracy's brother Matt who constantly pointed out that the women just were NOT putting out like he thought they should be. Joyce and Tracy immediately stared down Lisa as she tried to hide under the table. Rick and Matt (Tracy's husband) quickly should their heads in agreement and Matt (Tracy's brother) dove under the table with Lisa to apologize. He said he really only meant to include Joyce and his sister Tracy. From what I understand, Lisa is still not putting out. OUCH! The surprise of the night came when "R & R" had their worst scoring night of the 9 -week tournament and fell from 3rd to 5th place overall, costing them $25. However they did exact some revenge on "Just the 18th" and "Off Duty" when Lady Judy of "R & R" won the Sylvania LCD TV which was the Grand Prize. The "Bar Ks" limped into 6th place as Jack was a no show and Jen and Shayna also couldn't make it. The girls were missed but Jack....well....! Also a special Happy 18th Birthday goes out to the Better Half's Kayla who turned 18 last week. Thanks again to all of you for continuing to support this show. As the weather gets warmer this show will again grow to epic proportions as we approach that magic number of 150 people per week.
