Monday is Memorial Day, the day we honor the brave who have fallen for this Country. Keep them and their loved ones in your heart. With it being Memorial Day, there will not be a show at the Barn Door. Rest up and prepare for my return in June.

Last Week's Blurbage

Well, the crowd has made its return in force as we filled the Barn Door up much sooner than I expected. It usually takes a few more weeks than this after the conclusion of a tournament. Thanks to all who have continued to help make this an awsome show. As for last weeks show, "Out of the Vortex" once again took the top prize with the "J-Men" FINALLY getting back to their top 3 placing that they had become used to. "Lionel Richie Has Left Us also returned to the top 3 thanks in part to the return of the sensational Beth and Sean's brother Ben. They apparently swapped Kim and Robin for Ben and Beth and did MUCH better. Hmmmmmmm! The "D-Day" team was hoping for some pre-wedding luck but it just wasn't to be. Congratulations to Kim and Bill on their getting married on Saturday. Kim looked absolutely lovely (Bill wasn't bad either) on what couldn't have been a more perfect weather day. The reception was held outdoors under a huge tent at Rockford Plantation in County Park with our own Trivia Show Founder, Curtis Earth as the DJ. He flew in from Orlando Florida for the event and it was fantastic. Take Monday off and I will see you back here on June 2nd.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

What a night here at Crossgates last Thursday night as we saw a huge crowd AND we had the pleasure of a visit from Lancaster's Trivia show founder, Mr Curtis Earth. Curtis flew in from Orlando Florida to DJ a wedding reception on Saturday and he made a guest appearance at my show on Thursday night along with many of the former "Nothing But BabaGanoosh" team. On Thursday night they collectively called themselves "Who Turned The Heat Off" and they had control of the night for the first 2 rounds. Then, to their surprise, Spring Tournament Champions, the "Stupid MOFOs", showed them what they think of tourists invading their territory as the 'MOFOs came from a 6-way tie for second to capture the night. The 'MOFOs were led by the SENSATIONAL JOYCE, not the LOVELY KAREN, (she paid me to say that in BIG letters) who, as the deciderer on her team (she loves GW) always takes complete credit when they do well. The "Bar Ks" , with one of their best 3rd rounds in about 14 years, finished in 3rd place 2 points better than "R&R" and "Out of the Vortex". Yes, 'Vortex finished out of the top 3 and the crowd went wild when that was announced.

Crossgates PGA Pro Scott Vandegrift (MU Golf Team Head Coach) and assistant PGA Pro Scott Fritz are the guys to see. Call 872-4500 or visit the Pro-Shop for info on tee times, rates, lessons or bang a few buckets of balls on the driving range. Men's and Ladies locker rooms and showers are available. Crossgates is a non-metal spikes facility.
