Well, the crowd may take a few weeks to get back to what we are accustomed to but for now I guess we have to endure the rath that "Out of the Vortex" is unleashing on everyone. You would think they would relax a little bit now that the tournament is over but NNNOOOOO. Once again they captured 1st place here at the Barn Door and Barbara insists that it is all her. Back in 2nd place was the Laura inspired "Just Dumb Luck" with "T-Minus 12 days"(Kim and Bill are getting married on Memorial Day weekend) finishing 3rd, one point better than Zoe's "Don't Know Jack" gang. The "Wacky Corner" took it on the chin again as Phil just was not up to Lori's expected performance standards and "Lionel Richie Has Left Us" was nowhere to be found. Carrie gets like that now and then. She just simply forgets her priorities. And the "J-Men" well they just can't do it when John is a no-show. I think Jim Miller is the problem.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

As the crowd slowly returns and grows to its normal 150 during the summer months we experienced a minor upset of sorts in the top 3 here at Crossgates on Thursday night. No, it wasn't "Out of the Vortex" losing....they DIDN'T. It wasn't "R & R not tanking.....they DID. It was the "Better Half" with special guest, the striking Samantha winding up in 3rd place that was shocking. It was the "Better Half's" 2nd consecutive 3rd place finish. That might be one for the record books. But that wasn't the most shocking part of the night. It was the "Stupid MOFOs" getting HAMMERED. None of the guys came out (they are apparently the bright ones). Rick was home resting after having minor surgery and the Matts were who knows where, well, actually, Tracy's husband Matt was home watching the Flyers game (he could have done that here) and Tracy's brother Matt was home waiting for Lisa. Lisa left early to go home to Matt screaming "I gotta go home and get some". At the end of the show Tracy, with daughter Shannon in tow, was heard screaming "I gotta go home and get some" and Joyce, with daughter Erin in tow, was heard screaming "I just gotta get home". It wasn't a good night for the 'MOFOs. The "Bar Ks tried desperately to make it happen but fell one 3rd round question short of tying the "Better Half". The Eckertless "Bar Ks" were even bested by the screech owls from "Just the 18th".

Crossgates PGA Pro Scott Vandegrift (MU Golf Team Head Coach) and assistant PGA Pro Scott Fritz are the guys to see. Call 872-4500 or visit the Pro-Shop for info on tee times, rates, lessons or bang a few buckets of balls on the driving range. Men's and Ladies locker rooms and showers are available. Crossgates is a non-metal spikes facility.
