Bar Ks have a PERFECT night as Crossgates fall Tournament concludes

Crossgates is planning a major renovation in the next few months so stay tuned for further notice on the suspension of you trivia show.

Last Week's Blurbage

Here we are heading into the final 3 weeks of our Fall 2008 tournament at the Barn Door and "Out of the Vortex" is running away from all other pretenders to the throne. However, the 'Vortex actually LOST last week's show. The honor of winning went to the "Wacky Corner". How's that for major news. As for this show, the 'Vortex holds a commanding 45 point lead over "Phobics and Phobias" with 3 weeks remaining. However, the "Wacky Corner is only 1 point further back in third place and the once feared "J-Men" have fallen 15 points farther back in 4th place. The "J-Men" have now finished 4th in 5 out of the 6 weeks so far in this tournament. With "Don't Know Jack" being a total NO_SHOW last week, "KKC" has UNBELIEVABLY moved into 5th place AND unless they totally fall apart, which is NOT beyond their capabilities, they will finish in a money position for the first time in trivia history. "Bob's Angels" have moved 5 points ahead of the plummeting 'Jack people and if Zoe's crew isn't careful, Katie and the nutjobs from "Just Dumb Luck" will move ahead of them by the end of the tournament in 3 weeks. The former Villa Nova West team of "Not Last Place" has rejoined the show and is Solidly in the 10th and final prize position and they too have the potential of sneaking up on a few teams by the end of the tournament.

LAST WEEK'S BLURBAGE

Oh Boy, It's OVER and the "Stupid MOFOs" have defended their title on a night when the "Bar Ks" had a perfect 90 point night. Out of the 9 weeks of the tournament the "Bar Ks" actually WON the most weekly events with 4 out of 9. The 'MOFOS, on the other hand, only won twice during the 9 weeks but they also managed 4 seconds and three thirds. Consistency DID indeed rule. The 'MOFOs were the ONLY team to finish in the top 6 EVERY week. "R & R" had a near perfect final night themselves as they only missed one first round question. That forced them to face the fact that they finished 1 point behind the "Bar Ks" in 3rd place for the entire 9-week period. One missed question over that 9 week, 280 question period made the difference in 2nd vs 3rd place. As for the once mighty "Out of the Vortex", the repirator giants were vanquished to 4th place. "Crimson Tide" made some noise and finished 5th with the other geriatric bunch from "Thorns-n-Roses" actually surprising everyone by finishing 6th."Off Duty" AND the "Fighting Mongooses" were no shows AGAIN costing them prizes and "Just the 18th" managed to hang on for that 8th place spot. Hey girls, you DIDN'T finish last. That was reserved for......you guessed it......."CROMA" . Thanks for your continued support and i will keep all of you up to date on the Crossgates renovation plans. See you guys Thursday night.

This is a beautiful and challenging 18-hole full service public golf course located just south of the Millersville University campus at Shenks Lane and Crossland Pass. Crossgates PGA Pro Scott Fritz is the guy to see. Call 872-4500 or visit the Pro-Shop for info on tee times, rates, lessons or bang a few buckets of balls on the driving range. Men's and Ladies locker rooms and showers are available. Crossgates is a non-metal spikes facility.
